The Vitra Hal Ply Bar Stool was designed by Jasper Morrison in 2010. Reinterpreting the classic shell chair, Morrison has created a chair with a contemporary appearance that is ideal for dining at a kitchen counter or bar. Choose the shell colour to suit your interior style.

Description
With the Vitra Hal Ply Counter Stool from Vitra designer Jasper Morrison has created a reinterpretation of the multifunctional shell stool. Following the huge success of the original Plastic Hal Stool this wooden version introduces an extra dimension in the Hal stool's development with the use of a ply shell. The shape of Hals shell ensures plenty of freedom of movement and the slightly flexible ply material makes many different sitting positions possible. As a result Hal facilitates dynamic, ergonomic seating.
The Hal Ply Stool is available in two wooden finishes with complementary leg structures in polished chrome. It comes with a footrest and with its natural aesthetic is well suited for any kitchen island or counter.

Jasper Morrison
Jasper Morrison was born in London in 1959 and studied design at Kingston Polytechnic, The Royal College of Art and HDK in Berlin. In 1986 he set up his Office for Design in London and designed for many companies including Alessi, Flos, Alias, Cappellini, Colombo Design, FSB, Magis, Rosenthal, SCP, Sony and Vitra amongst others. His Glo Ball range of lamps for Flos and Hal Chairs for Vitra are some of his most commercially successful designs - proving how a simple aesthetic can create mass and timeless appeal.
