Originally produced during a highly prolific period for Robin Day, the RD8 RFH Lounge Chair is a majestic piece of classic mid-century modern seating that has been reissued by Danish atelier &Tradition.

Description
Originally designed to be placed in the foyer of the Royal Festival Hall in 1951, the RD8 RFH Lounge Chair features a bent wooden backrest which rests against a beautifully upholstered seat base. Simple legs of steel tube finish the structure, gifting the piece with a tone which promises great comfort but is light and elegant in shape.
Danish design house &Tradition have reintroduced a range of pieces from the archives of Robin Day, whose reputation sees him held aloft as one of the great British designers. As impressive today as they were some seven decades on from their initial introduction, the reissued classics offer supreme comfort and aesthetically brilliant objects well suited to homes and settings of all type.
