The Nemo Lighting Applique de Marseille, envisioned by Le Corbusier in 1938/1939 for his Parisian residence on Rue Nungesser et Coli, delivers both direct and diffused light. Two cone-shaped lampshades precisely guide light upwards and downwards, casting uniform and sharp beams. The Mini version maintains the same allure in a compact form, ensuring timeless elegance and effective illumination.

Le Corbusier (Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris) - 1887-1965 - was a prolific French architect, designer, urbanist, painter and writer and one of the most influential architects of the twentieth century - a pioneer of what is now called 'modern architecture'. A vehement advocate of the modern aesthetic Le Corbusier designed with a much revered puritan severity. His view that a modern house or apartment was a 'machine for living' in is exemplified by some of the furniture he created to go in them such as the LC4 Chaise, LC1 Armchair and LC2 Armchair from Cassina.
