Designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Hay, it is part of the Pier range, a shelving system that suits modern living sensibilities and requirements. 1051 is a tall, sleek unit with an open shelf, wire racks and coat hooks. Simple and elegant, it can be used as a stand-alone piece and is perfect for smaller spaces. Easily combined with other pieces from the range, it can become a much larger system. Available in a series of colourways and finishes with the option to upgrade to a chromed-finish wire rack.
Constructed from lightweight aluminium and steel using the minimum of components, elements can be moved around and added to as needed as your requirements change. Incorporate work, wardrobe, display or organisational functions for any environment.

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec
Born in Brittany in 1971 and 1976 respectively the Bouroullec brothers have become a much sough after double act, particularly after their work with Cappellini who recognised their talent at an early stage. Here we feature some of their most highly regarded works for Vitra, Kartell, Cappellini and Magis.
