Originally created by Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld back in 1934 the Crate Collection has been beautifully relaunched in a Rietveld Originals x HAY collaboration. The idea behind the collection was to create modern and functional furniture from surplus wooden crates. The relaunch has been made with respect to the original design as the Crate Low Table shares the same balanced proportions and transparent construction to minimise production costs and optimise the assembly process. With low proportions, a square tabletop and diagonal crossbars this outdoor table clearly mirrors Rietveld's architectural style that ensures functionality and comfort without taking up too much space. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor environments.
