Description
The Fritz Hansen Ro 2 Seater Sofa was designed following the huge success of the Ro Chair designed by Jaime Hayon for Fritz Hansen. Whilst the Ro Chair seeks to envelop the sitter in a cocoon of comfort, the Ro Sofa builds upon the curvy, playful expression to create an intimate space for two to experience a unique sense of privacy and comfort. "Ro" means tranquillity in Danish. The name was chosen because it captures the point of the chair in just two letters, thus reflecting the Nordic approach and concept of beauty.
The high back design invites two people to experience a sense of privacy while still enjoying ample space and comfort. Slim and elegant, the sculptural and elegant design combines to create a functional and aesthetically pleasing chair that lends itself to a multitude of applications. The Ro Sofa is perfect for a nook in your home, as part of a breakout space or aligned opposite each other for a private yet connected interior space.
Ro Sofa comes in a range of fabrics options and the legs can be selected in either brushed aluminium or oak with a clear lacquer finish.

Jaime Hayon
Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon has shot to international acclaim through his use of designing with the intent of preserving and updating traditional objects through new forms of materials and technologies. His work is strongly characterized by his childhood passions, skateboard culture and graffiti art. Hayon set up his own design business in 2006 and has since collaborated with some of the word's most influential brands, including Fritz Hansen, Established and Sons, Moooi, Swarovski and his ongoing work as a creative consultant for the Spanish porcelain manufacturer Lladró. The Ro Chair and Favn Sofa are some of his most recent projects.
