The N01 Chair by Japanese designer Oki Sato (Aka Nendo) for Fritz Hansen is the first entirely wooden chair release for the Danish furniture brand since Arne Jacobsen's Grand Prix chair over 60 years ago.

The N01 Dining Chair is an armchair  that brings back nature and embraces today's modern life. A life where the dining room is not only a place to enjoy a meal but it’s also a place to be productive, a place for conversation, a place to relax from a busy workday or just everyday life.

N01 is both minimalist yet highly detailed, merging the aesthetics and purity of Danish and Japanese design. The final design, while appearing relatively simple is actually comprised of 23 parts made from a mix of solid wood and veneer. Each piece crafted industrially at a family-owned factory in Belgium before being assembled by hand at Fritz Hansen’s workshop.

Crafted with functionality in mind, the N01’s seat features a gradual incline on both sides, creating a comfortable seating experience, as if one’s body is being embraced.
