Description
The Fritz Hansen JH 97 Fred Lounge Chair from Fritz Hansen is a Jaime Hayon design which offers affordability, integrity, and a clear reference to classic Danish furniture design. The result is a versatile lounge chair which balances both tradition with new technological manufacturing and design techniques. For both Fritz Hansen and Jaime Hayon the key in the design was that it had to be democratic in price, bringing customers the exceptional quality synonymous with the company at an affordable price. Versatile in nature this is a lounge chair which sits comfortably in any home or commercial environment.
With an open, low slung silhouette the JH97 offers contemporary appeal yet demonstrates a reference to Danish furniture heritage.Exaggerated wide and flat armrests and a curved, angled backrest embrace and support the body. Generous back and seat cushions appear to float on the frame and detatchable covers allow you to change the character of the chair. With a gentle rounded frame profile the JH97 comes in three wood finishes in a range of fabric and leather choices.

Jaime Hayon
Spanish artist-designer Jaime Hayon has shot to international acclaim through his use of designing with the intent of preserving and updating traditional objects through new forms of materials and technologies. His work is strongly characterized by his childhood passions, skateboard culture and graffiti art. Hayon set up his own design business in 2006 and has since collaborated with some of the word's most influential brands, including Fritz Hansen, Established and Sons, Moooi, Swarovski and his ongoing work as a creative consultant for the Spanish porcelain manufacturer Lladró. The Ro Chair and Favn Sofa are some of his most recent projects.
