Here at Utility, we are thrilled to introduce to you, Ercol. We are delighted to be the only stockist in the North of England, and one of only five stockists across the whole of the UK opting to sell Ercol's 'made in UK' range of designer furniture.

Ercol was founded in 1920 by a young Italian, Lucian Ercolani whose vision was to design furniture inspired by a passion for both style and functionality. Today ercol is at the forefront of British furniture, esteemed for their innovative use of high quality, natural wood. The award-winning family-owned business has evolved with the changing landscape of design and how we as people live today and has commissioned some of Britain's most recognisable design icons while continuing to reflect their core family values.

Ercol aims to offer the very best furniture for every room in the house. Each piece is created seamlessly while merging practicality and beauty – whether it's a crafted, extending dining table or a stylish bed with matching cabinets for extra storage space. Lucian Ercolani had a vision of well-designed furniture by artisans who take pride in their work and craftsmanship, this same vision is at the core of the company today, from a small Italian family company to a pioneering workforce displaying beautiful designs 70 years later in the V&A, London, assisting its timeless appeal.

The DNA of ecrol is made up with the appreciation of wood; it's beauty, unique variations and imperfections just as nature intended. It is easy to become enthralled by the tactile sensation of wood, soothing yet sturdy, durable yet accommodating. Wood is irrefutably warm and welcoming. A wooden floor grounds us, a wooden ceiling protects us, and wooden furniture makes us feel a bit of both, raw or finished, smooth or textured, wood has an ultimate poetic presence while each collection of the furniture is unique, they all echo an aesthetic that makes any of the designs applicable anywhere.
