Description
The &Tradition Pavilion AV3 Chair designed by Anderssen & Voll for &Tradition is from the collection created for Copenhagen's Langelinie Pavilion. The challenge here was to design a stackable chair used for mass seating in the iconic, multi-purpose venue. The Pavilion chair itself has an airy feeling, with slim arms and legs that give it a light appearance. This variant of the design comes without arms - but with an upholstered seat. It's manufactured using classical techniques; compression moulding, (making it light and thin, yet strong) and woodturning (a technique that uses a lathe to achieve greater detail). Its back and side panels create an embracing shape and supportive seating environment, perfect for a dining table. With its low-swung, crescent back and armrest, and a very slightly pitched seat pan, this light gives an airy and elegant expression. It's available in three wood finishes and an array of fabric and leather options.
